DStorm
DStorm was established in October 1992 as the Japanese distributor of NewTek's Video Toaster/LightWave and has been providing the best solutions for digital content production in Japan.
Since its establishment, DStorm has built its own 3DCG tool distributor network to expand sales of LightWave and has also contributed greatly to building the 3DCG user base in Japan with LightWave OEM projects such as the SONY PlayStation Game Development Kit, Silicon Graphics 320/540, and the SONY VAIO notebooks.
In addition to LightWave sales, we have been an evangelist of LightWave in Japan, and have been organising the Wavy Awards, a 3DCG contest for LightWave users, every other year since 1996 (suspended since 2016), and have produced many professional 3DCG artists who are currently active in this field.
We have also developed and distributed many given-away plug-ins, including the LightWave 3D game development library, and have earned a reputation for our high level of technology and support.
We contribute to the development of the industry by providing our customers with the latest technology and extensive support to meet the demands of the digital content production field.
